- Introduction
IT City Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries (“the Company”) recognize that sustainable business growth must go hand in hand with creating long-term value for society and local communities. The Company is committed to conducting its business responsibly by considering the social impacts of its operations on all stakeholders while promoting equitable access to technology, digital literacy, education, and improved quality of life as key drivers of sustainable development.
The Company is committed to growing alongside society by encouraging active participation from employees, customers, business partners, and communities through meaningful social initiatives. These include educational support, technology donations, digital skills development, disaster relief, and environmental conservation programs that strengthen communities and help reduce digital inequality.
- Scope
This Policy applies to IT City Public Company Limited, its subsidiaries, controlled entities, directors, executives, employees, and business partners throughout the Company’s value chain.
The Company expects all relevant parties to uphold the principles set forth in this Policy and to contribute to positive social outcomes while minimizing adverse impacts arising from business operations.
- Objectives
The objectives of this Policy are to:
- Promote ethical business conduct and corporate social responsibility.
- Foster collaboration with communities and stakeholders to achieve sustainable social development.
- Effectively manage social impacts arising from the Company’s operations.
- Encourage meaningful social investment and community development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internationally recognized social standards.
- Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure effective implementation of this Policy, the Company clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of relevant parties.
- Board of Directors
The Board of Directors shall:
- Approve and oversee the Company’s social and community strategy.
- Ensure that community initiatives align with the Company’s business strategy and sustainability objectives.
- Review this Policy periodically in consideration of changes in legislation, international standards, and emerging social issues.
- Monitor implementation progress through regular management reporting and provide recommendations for continual improvement.
- Senior Management
Senior Management shall:
- Establish strategic objectives and implementation plans for social and community development.
- Allocate adequate resources to support community investment and social initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
- Report progress, performance, and social impacts to the Board of Directors and recommend improvement actions where appropriate.
- Responsible Functions
Relevant departments shall:
- Develop and implement social and community programs aligned with the Company’s sustainability strategy.
- Assess and manage social risks associated with business operations.
- Promote employee volunteering and stakeholder participation.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve program effectiveness.
- Report performance and relevant information to Senior Management.
- Employees
Employees are expected to:
- Perform their duties responsibly while considering potential impacts on society and communities.
- Participate in Company-sponsored social and community initiatives.
- Report concerns or incidents that may adversely affect communities through established reporting channels.
- Participate in training and awareness programs related to sustainability and community development.
- Business Partners
Business partners are expected to:
- Conduct business in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws and regulations.
- Consider social impacts throughout the value chain.
- Collaborate with the Company in community development initiatives where appropriate.
- Establish appropriate management systems to prevent and mitigate adverse social impacts.
- Policy and Implementation Guidelines
The Company is committed to:
- Responsible Business Conduct
Conduct business ethically, transparently, and responsibly while creating long-term value for society, communities, and all stakeholders.
- Social Impact Management
Identify, assess, prevent, mitigate, and monitor both positive and negative social impacts arising from business operations as part of the Company’s sustainability management framework.
- Community Development
Support community development programs focusing on:
- Economic empowerment through employment opportunities and local business development.
- Support for vulnerable and underserved communities.
- Education, digital literacy, and lifelong learning.
- Public health, safety, and environmental well-being.
- Preservation of local culture and community identity.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain open dialogue with stakeholders through regular engagement, impact assessments, consultation mechanisms, and grievance channels to understand expectations and continuously improve community relations.
- Sustainable Social Investment
Support transparent, measurable, and sustainable social investment projects that generate long-term positive impacts on society.
- Training and Awareness
The Company shall communicate this Policy to employees and relevant stakeholders through appropriate communication channels, including internal meetings, digital platforms, training programs, manuals, awareness campaigns, and other educational activities to ensure effective implementation.
- Grievance Mechanism
The Company provides accessible, transparent, and confidential grievance channels for employees, business partners, communities, and other stakeholders to report concerns related to social and community issues.
All complaints shall be handled fairly, objectively, and promptly. The Company prohibits retaliation against any person who reports concerns in good faith and ensures the confidentiality of complainants throughout the investigation process.
- Non-Compliance
All employees and relevant parties are required to comply with this Policy.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Company’s internal regulations. Where business partners are involved, the Company may require corrective actions and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate the business relationship in cases of serious or repeated non-compliance.
- Policy Review
This Policy shall be reviewed at least annually, or whenever significant changes occur in applicable laws, regulations, international standards, business operations, or stakeholder expectations, to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.
